Post a few simple item ideas or one detailed item idea in the #item-creation channel. Try to keep it in one text-block, please put in effort! You do not require detailed combat stats, just what kind thing(s) it can do and perhaps some details about the lore. Upon approval, you get 1 XP! Try to just stick with one post per day. As you get a better feel for the item system, we'll promote you to the next rank!
Here's an important note about items: Everyone has their own unique mechanics for their playbooks so an item balanced for one sheet may not be balanced for another. The item list is not intended as a big shop for everyone to browse from, it's for ideas for GMs making their end of session rewards.
Apprentice (+0) Your items don't need proper stats at all and you can just spitball your ideas pretty casually. Do put in effort into posts nonetheless! I expect at least a paragraph or two of juicy CONTENT! I recommend sticking with TRINKETS since those are just one utility/magical effect and you can have a bunch of those equipped, they're mostly for fun and flavor.
Journeyman (+1) Items will be held to a higher standard! You need to try and make some fair and balanced stats for 'em, and try to make the content even JUICIER! If you want you can try your hand at creating WEAPONS, which have more stringent 'balance' standards and one only needs like one or two weapons on-hand. For weapons, recommend a few things: >We want unarmed/sex combat to be viable! Don't make a weapon that is always the optimal to choice to use over unarmed >Instead of flat +1 damage, maybe it adds a debuff or status effect! >Other advice will be added Expert (+2) You should now think about ARMORS! Armor has an effect that ranges between the power of a TRINKET and a WEAPON, but can be even stronger. The main challenge is a balance between increased durability and not being too useful/stacking too easily. When you're thinking up a damage reduction effect, think of what kind of harm or damage triggers it and then how it's lessened. Also, you can decide the gold cost of the item. Most importantly, you may now roll to create your own items! Crafting (Once per day only please) When you try and create an item according to your specifications, roll+Proficiency level. On a 10+, pay the gold cost as specified and the item is now yours! On a 7-9, same as a 10+ but you must pay 1 XP or :1g:! Otherwise you can add a little flaw to your item. On a miss, either don't create the item, or add some crazy curse that makes it more trouble than it's worth!
Master (+3) You're now an item MASTER! You're now allowed to get your XP for items without the need for approval, and you can volunteer to help GMs with creating their items. If you ever have advice for tweaking items, feel free to kindly let us know! This rank has no extra bonuses really, but it's a token of our trust! Also if you wanna create a SHOP you get an extra XP or two for that. SECRETARY
I haven't entirely decided what this role does or what it's named, but basically you can help folks who need to set up their sheets. If people need tweaks to their sheets, you can also help em! You need to have a good eye for what helps make a sheet 'balanced'. Certain moves can be stronger/weaker but as long as the playbook/sheet all around is pretty balanced, that's good enough! HUNTER
This role posts in the BESTIARY! Whip up monster ideas and you get 2 XP for each post! Try to put EFFORT in! You can post a few quick monster summaries OR one large, detailed and fancy monster sheet. Try to only do it once per day HISTORIAN
You can write up lore and stuff? Dunno! Might be cool... Not just history but places, and people and things! NOTE: I'm still working on this. I'll roll it out in due time, probably assign roles based on whatcha like! There will also be professions for just rolling to get a trinket or gold from a list.
